BBW Sunburst Logo Resurrected (part 2)
Yesterday, I mentioned that BBW brought back its old sunburst logo from the ’90s for its new Fresh Picked line. I went to my local BBW yesterday to check out the line and was amazed at the variety of products. Here are a few highlights, some with the “old” logo clearly displayed.
If you’re a vintage BBW fan like me, I would encourage you to buy products from this line. Let’s show the company how much we want the old BBW back!
BBW’s old sunburst logo, resurrected!
Back in the fall, BBW re-launched its old White Barn Candle line from the ’90s. Now it looks like they’ve brought back the old “sunburst” logo, albeit in a new form. It’s being used to brand its new Fresh Picked line, which includes body care, home fragrance, and anti-bac. Their Fresh Picked line used to be just anti-bac, but now it’s been expanded to other products. Hurray!
I love the vintage-inspired branding of this line. I hope they make the WHOLE store like this eventually! It seems like BBW is finally getting the hint that many of their customers want BBW’s old style back.
Anonymous asked: Thanks for making this blog! I find the old packaging and the history of Bath and Body Works really interesting. I'm only a teenager but I know my mom has been a fan for a long time. A few years ago, we'd still find old Bath and Body Works stuff in the crawl-space or in the back of the linen closet; I didn't know it could be worth so much. I still have a few things from my childhood from Bath and Body Works (Art Stuff? I believe) like glitter roller balls. Thanks again for your work on this blog
You’re welcome, and thank YOU for your kind words! I love how you found old BBW products in your crawl space and linen closet. How cool is that? If you want, feel free to take photos of your old products and submit them. I’ll include them on the blog.
Flowering Herbs splash with no pump, early 1990s
The ebay seller has a very interesting story about this:
"Way back when, in ancient times, when I was just a little girl, Bath & Body Works used to sell their bottles of Splash without a pump. As this was produced then, it does not have a pump. However, this never stopped me…I took the pump out of a different bottle, trimmed the end to fit, and used that instead."
I’ve never heard of this! I always remember the splashes with pumps, but then again I didn’t enter a BBW until 1994. This was probably an earlier version. It appears that this was supposed to be used as a light after-shower fragrance that you “splash” on your body (see the instructions on the back). Thank God somebody at BBW’s product development came up with the idea of adding a pump for convenience!
Mine were Country Apple, Sun-Ripened Raspberry, Peach Nectar, and Flowering Herbs!

I meant to send this to you during Christmas but I forgot. I also forgot to take a picture of the back with the date, which was 1998 or 1999. The plate came with a candle which, if I remember correctly, had peppermints in the wax. The plate is all I have left.
