Here’s a list of extremely rare BBW items I would LOVE to see on this blog. If you happen to have any of these things, please take a photo and submit!
- The red gingham apron employees wore in the 90’s. (Update: Here it is! Thanks to reader Lisa for submitting!)
- BBW store interiors from the 90’s. I wish I took photos when I was working there at the time! Of course I thought that BBW would never change (ha!).
- One of the large wooden display barrels. My store sold these to employees when we got the new white fixtures. I regret not buying one myself!
- Employee manual from the 1990’s - or any other training material. A full scan of one would be great!
- Employee training video from the 90’s. These came on VHS tapes, so if you happen to have one you would need to convert it to a digital file before submitting.
- An intact gift set from the 90’s. You would be surprised how many people get a BBW gift set, don’t really want it, and then stash it away in a closet somewhere. So I know they’re out there!
- The moisturizing honey mask that won the contest. It was sold in the summer of 1993 and would have the name of the winner on it (Debra Clark).
- The giant display wagon. This was also sold to employees, but not to me. I didn’t have enough room for it. :(
- Any of the very early BBW products with the green tree on them. When BBW started, they used a green tree for its logo (find out why they changed). These products were only out for a year, so they are very hard to find. You’ll recognize them by the brown paper label with the dark green tree and “Bath and Body Works” on the front. (Update: Found some! See the milk baths I purchased from ebay and a Juniper cologne.)
- Any of the very, VERY early BBW products that were sold at Express stores in the late 80’s, before they got their own store. I’m not sure what these look like, so I would love to see them!
- The round wooden shopping basket!
If you have any of these items, please submit!
